The ceremony in honor of successful completion of basic literacy campaign carrying out in five townships from Bago Region (West), 2018, was held at Pyay Town Hall at 10:00 am on 25 November today. Present at the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Education U Win Maw Tun and officials, Members of Parliament from Pyay District, departmental heads of regional level, Pro-Rector of Pyay University Dr.Thwe Linn Ko and professors, Heads of Pyay Technological University, Pyay Education College and University of Computer Studies, Pyay, officials from Basic Education Department, the voluntary students and the supervisors, and the representatives of the trainees. At the ceremony, U Win Maw Tun, Deputy Minister for Education and Patron of Central Supervisory Committee for Basic Literacy, gave an opening speech to honor the participants Next, Dr. Thwe Linn Ko Pro-Rector of Pyay University gave the course completion certificates for 2,000 trainees from Tharawady, Oak-Pho, Pauk-Khaung, Lepatan and Paungte Townships to five representatives of the trainees. Afterwards, the representatives of the voluntary students from Pyay University and Pyay Education College explained their experiences. The students from Pyay University and Pyay Education College volunteered in those five townships from Bago Region (West) for 40 days from 15 October to 23 November for basic literacy.
The ceremony successfully came to an end at 12:00 am.
